Standing with a cup of coffee, the weight is supported by the hand, which is connected to the arm, which is supported by the shoulder, held by muscles to the spine, which is grounded to the hips, which are supported by the feet. 
And a chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link. So, while it may not hurt right away, when something is injured or habitually moves in ways which stress the body, things break down.
